Last night my Mom informed me that one of Halle's videos has gotten a tremendous amount of hits on YouTube. Specifically The Joker and the Princess where Brad juggles styrofoam blocks to Halle's outrageous amusement. Specifically 266 views.
Okay, it's not a tremendous amount after all.
Since Halle isn't nearly as popular as Suri Cruise nor is Brad an ex-Cirque carny, I'm afraid that I've accidentally lead YouTubers into a trap of cuteness. It's not a clip of Batman. Sorry, guys.
Coming Tomorrow: Halle feeding ducks and geese and turtles, oh my!

The moon is in the seventh house
Halle has been bewitched.
It seems that a run-of-the-mill criminal broke into Grandma's house and quickly turned the TV station to Barney and Friends when Grandma wasn't looking. The perpetrator vanished before he or she could be caught, but the damage was done. In no time, Halle was dancing under its spell like a Desperate Housewife of Salem, Massachusetts, circa 1692.
Barney & Friends is to adults as chocolate is to dogs.
I guess I'll have to counterbalance that with an ironic Berenstein Bears book about the disruptive nature of commercials and I would assume, corporate licensure of characters. Sigh.

Halle Learns How to Push "Snooze"
I think I've spoiled you all with two videos in two days! :)
Note: when Halle is really tired and ready for bed, she goes to the baby gate, waves her hand and says "bye bye". It's incredibly cute and reminds us of how lucky we are to have such a good baby.
This morning, I walked into Halle's room around 9:30am, which is way earlier than she is accustomed to. I cooed, "Good morning, baby" and went to open her blinds. She blinked and pulled her blanket over her head.
Knowing I had to be at work by 10am, I had to nudge her awake as soon as possible. I started rubbing her back and after a minute or two, she rolled over and smiled at me. Good, let's get going, I thought. She quickly turned over to lie on her stomach again, pulling the blanket over her head.
So I start rubbing her back again and talk about what a pretty day it is outside. She rolls over and, to save time, I change her diaper right there in her crib. She wakes up little by little, giggling at the usual "diapee" song and dance. When she's clean and diapered I offer to pick her up. She stands up, thinks about it for a minute... then she said, "Bye bye." and lays back down.

The new pillow.
No insanities or wonderment today. Just a couple of rare photos of Halle with Olive, snuggling as they're fond of doing. Much to Brad's grossed-outed-ness. Poor Olive doesn't get much human interaction and I think she is rebelling by leaving nasty surprised on the (now rug-less) kitchen floor. Sometimes I even think Olive gets rambunctiously happy and affectionate* with Brad because she wants him to like her so badly. Poor, poor Olive. I should take her for a good long walk this weekend.
*No, not in that way! Who could blame him if Olive did that a lot?

Biting at Bubbles
Finally! What I promised you last Friday is here. That thing where I mentioned animals? My mistake; I thought Halle learned how to do this by watching Bella, my parents' dog but I was thinking of our old family dog (good ole Cory) who would attack strange things like light from a flashlight, water from the pool, and yeah, bubbles. Sorry about the low-quality and the loud neighborhood dog, bemoaning some outrageous injustice I'm sure... Halle's cuteness will make up for it!

Unbelievable Nursuries & Playrooms
Although it's astonishing and really, really cute, I'm not sure if I'd spend thousands of dollars for photo-print wallpaper in a room where my kids play with crayons, markers, and chalk...
From a recent issue of Real Living Magazine. The text says "Red is a great colour for girls or boys - and it goes well with taupe!".

Halle Laughing Ringtone
No new pictures or videos today, although I do have a soundbyte for you. When I got my phone almost a year ago it had *zero* ringtones that weren't downright annoying. Apparently bbrrrrrrring! was feeling underappreciated and skipped town.
SO! I took a recording of Halle laughing. She was probably six months old at the time.
She loves to listen to this now. =)
Click on Recording.wav and when the 4shared page loads, click on the blue "Download Now" button. The recording should only take about 10 seconds to download because it is so short.

Slowly But Surely
The BATHTUB is Halle's favorite place to be. I'm sure she didn't mind when Daddy messed with her hair, giving her "wings". Gosh, she's been a peach-head since she was born; I can't even picture her with hair! Unfortunately, she has inherited my hair genes... as far as I can tell. She'll only have to cut her hair once every two years (or get to, whichever you think is fair) and no matter how much teasing and curling she does, her hair will inevitably fall flat within fifteen minutes. And if this leads her to ask for a perm in the first grade, well... who can blame her?

Another Hilarious Mom Blog
It hasn't been long since I told you all about Postcards From Your Momma and I know all you really want to see are photos of Halle, but I had to share this one with you. Are you familiar with a little site called Engrish? As they put it: Engrish can be simply defined as the humorous English mistakes that appear in Japanese advertising and product design. It's a great blog and a lot of the mistakes are of an unfortunate, ironic, or risque` nature. I don't read it often cause it can be sorta gross. I found a better site, though: My Mom is a Fob. Here is an excerpt:
Fee vs. Free
July 6, 2009
So about 10 minutes ago my mom got a notice from Sam’s club for the bill and she was so excited. I have never seen her so excited about a bill before. So I was curious and I looked over and saw a late fee for almost 125 dollars!
Me: Mom! Why didn’t you pay the bill!
Mom: Sam clup give me the free money!
Me: No, you have to PAY or else that fee will get higher.
Mom: What? I thought the late free?
Me: No FREE has an R, FEE means you have to pay.
Mom: Dang sam clup try to trick the asian people
